OK, next up is free guitar tablature… this is just another part of my never ending quest for more great guitar resources that can be found online. As I have have noted over and over in these pages, the Internet is the greatest thing since sliced bread for guitarists. And as a new guitarist I can’t soak up enough of these great online resources.

So it is onward for free guitar tablature…

But first a quick word… for the REAL beginners out there, guitar tablature (also known as guitar tabs for short) is a great and easy to learn way of presenting music for guitar. The best thing is that you don’t need to be able to “read” regular sheet music. Guitar tablature is super easy to read… I taught my 12 year old daughter to do it in about three minutes.

In any case, we were talking about finding free guitar tablature… and I found a bunch of it. In fact, you can find the guitar tabs for thousands of songs online. The first place that I always start with when I am looking for tablature for guitars (and it even has it for bass guitars) is at this site…

The site is great… you can search by song title or artist. If you search by artist it will come up with all the songs by that artist. And the tabs are rated by users, so you can see which guitar tabs are the highest rated by other visitors.

Bottom line, if you are looking for free guitar tablature… that is the single place to start.
